Waste Transfer Stations

Stationary waste transfer station

Max Aicher transfer station
The stationary waste transfer station consists primarily of an operation building with a delivery hall for the waste collecting vehicles and compactor funnels embedded in the ground floor. The waste compactors are accommodated in the basement, each with its own hydraulic assembly and control system.
Stationary waste transfer stations are intended as a long-term solution for transferring waste, particularly for large amounts of waste. In most cases there are 1 to 4 waste compactors installed in these transfer stations to cope with the large daily stream of waste.

The vehicles of the regional waste disposal authorities transport the collected domestic, municipal and commercial waste to the waste transfer stations located strategically in the region.

Semimobile waste transfer station

Semimobile waste transfer stations are intended as a short term or temporary solution for transferring waste.

Advantages of the semimobile waste transfer station:

  • Building work needed kept to a minimum
  • Can be incorporated in existing sites
  • Minimal investment costs involved
  • Site restoration is possible at any time
